This remarkable Indian eaterie offers a very different style of cooking from the subcontinent - the word 'zaika' means 'sophisticated flavours' which gives you an idea of the genius of the place. Set in a former bank by Kensington Gardens,

partridge breast and partridge shammi kebab with beetroot chutney, main courses of pan-roasted freshwater prawns and seared blue-fin tuna with white crabmeat risotto and spring onion and herb sauce, and a more-ish grilled chicken breast marinated in mustard with aubergine mash and asparagus tikki,
and puds like chocolate samosas with chenna and roasted almonds, or the amazing pineapple marinated in fennel and saffron then cooked in the tandoori. A mould-breaking restaurant.
