If you're a vegetarian, get down to Woodlands! This lovely South Indian restaurant features nothing but the best vegetarian and vegan food you've tasted in quite a while. The ambience is relaxed and minimalish, with wooden floors, cool walls and ethnic artefacts dotted around the place all livened up with cheery colourful seating. Loyal locals have been making this a cherished favourite for more than thirty years, and it will probably still be going strong when the new Wembley Stadium is finally done and dusted! The South Indian menu includes wonderful dishes like starters of batter-fried home-made cottage cheese with aromatic spices and chutney, or crispy poori with onions and tamarind chutney and yoghurt, main courses of gorgeous dosas (sort of Indian crepes) offered with a variety of fillings, like seasoned potato, onions, and peas, served with lentil soup and coconut chutney. Or just order one of the thalis and let the chefs decide for you!
