The Well

180 St John Street

London
EC1V 4JY

St John Street seems to have become the spiritual home of the gastropub and The Well is another great example of the genre. Unfussy and obviously 'pubby' with a downstairs bar-lounge which is available for hire too, serving good quality trad. pub food with a twist. What's Cooking? Homemade chilli con carne with creme fraiche, toulouse sausages with garlic mash, smoked duck with celeriac remoulade and sweet chilli oil.

Average Price: £22

Cuisine: Modern British

Underground: Farringdon
