The Pinafore Room in The Savoy
The Savoy
Strand
London
WC2R 0EU
Many places in the world-famous Savoy have historical importance. The Pinafore was frequented by none other than Winston Churchill and his controversial friends in politics and media and is the room where they founded The Other Club. With its formal wood panelling and sweeping views of the Thames, you may indeed choose it for your own historic occasion. It would be perfect for breakfast meetings - or meetings at any time of day, really - wedding receptions, smart drinks dos, or private celebration meals. Accommodating up to 50 seated or up to 80 standing it is a very adaptable size. And, of course, the Savoy's depth of expertise and experience is on hand to help you design your historic occasion down to the last detail. Menus are under the impeccable guidance of Maitre Chef des Cuisines Georg Fuchs. Dishes may include starter of warm salad of lemon sole fillet with a tomato and tarragon dip, main course of fillet of lamb in a puff pastry crust with roast potatoes and spinach puree glazed with cheese, followed by pudding of red wine poached pear gratinated with burnt orange ice cream, the Savoy's own blend of coffee and perfect petit fours. The service is excellent, and the wines are too.
