When choosing a private dining venue, you want it to be perfect. The Mikado is an elegant choice, with its oriental minimalist decor, beautiful wood panelling, 1920's glass-surround fireplace, and porcelain lamps, and it is indeed perfect for small private meetings or celebrations. Think of board meetings, private corporate entertainment, a high-class birthday or anniversary, or even an intimate wedding breakfast. The Mikado will hold up to 18 seated or 20 standing. Of course, the world-renowned Savoy team will be at your call, making sure that every detail is right, from the food to the flowers. Mouth-watering menus are created by Maitre Chef des Cuisines Georg Fuchs, and many choices are available to meet your requirements, from business-like breakfasts to saturnalian feasts. Dishes may include starter of warm salad of lemon sole fillet with a tomato and tarragon dip, main course of fillet of lamb in a puff pastry crust with roast potatoes and spinach puree glazed with cheese, followed by pudding of red wine poached pear gratinated with burnt orange ice cream, the Savoy's own blend of coffee and perfect petit fours. The wine cellars at the Savoy are exceptional and the service second to none.
