If our Living Room were this cool, we'd never go out. More like a loft-space than your nan's front room, The Living Room has everything you need, really: fab wooden bar staffed by bartenders who are half creative
geniuses, half performance artists, curving chocolate leather banquettes for bringing folk together, smart-casual atmosphere, a white baby grand for the live music, and loads of earth-tones, wood, and soft lights. Oh, and great food. The menu is grill-based international with all your favourites. Try
starter of grilled sardines or chicken satay sticks, main course or classic cheese and bacon burger with tomato salsa and fries, or the favourite maize-fed chicken breast with asparagus, peas, green beans, and bok choi in
white wine sauce. Puds are classic nursery-style wish-fulfillment. Terrific cocktail list, as you'd expect. Sunday brunch is a winner, too.
