The Imperial War Museum
As the name suggests this Museum has exhibitions covering every major conflict of the 20th-Century up to and including the Gulf War of 1991. It is housed in part of what used to be Bethlehem Hospital for the Insane ("Bedlam"), built in 1811. Planes, guns and tanks are all represented here, but the museum also looks at the social implications war which are explored through paintings, posters, and film footage. There are also some very good reconstruction's, which include sounds and even smells!
