Tate Modern
Built on the site of the former Bankside Power Station, that was transformed by the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. The Tate Modern contains the Tate's collection of international modern art from 1900 to the present day. The former Turbine Hall that runs the whole length of the vast building now forms a breathtaking entrance to the gallery, that includes major works by Dalí, Picasso, Matisse and Warhol and contemporary works by artists such as Gilbert & George and Susan Hiller.
