Royal Air Force Museum
If you like aircraft then the Royal Air Force Museum is not to be missed. It is Britain's only national museum dedicated wholly to aviation, and is home to a large collection of historic fighting aircraft. The museum occupies ten acres of what was once the historic Hendon Aerodrome and has more than 260,000 sq ft of exhibition halls covering the whole history of aviation. From its beginnings including the very earliest flying objects such as balloons and kites to the Eurofighter of the 21st Century.
