Rasoi means 'kitchen' and Vineet Bhatia means fabulous, award-winning, bravura cooking. Vineet Bhatia is the chef who won Zaika the first Michelin star ever for an Indian restaurant, now he has opened this intimate, upmarket, charming townhouse restaurant in Chelsea. Rooms are smart modern with splashes of colourful Indian saris and artwork. The 'evolved Indian' menu may include dishes like starter of assorted sea scallops which are spice-crusted, chilli, sesame and onion seed, main course of grilled spice marinated duck escalopes with hot tamarind chutney, sauteed garlic shiitake mushrooms and onion fritters, and pudding of poached pear, ginger, and yoghurt cheesecake with blueberries and fennel sorbet. Superb wines.
