Port Lympne Wild Animal Park Port Lympne Wild Animal Park is set in 400 acres and incorporates the historic mansion and landscaped gardens with spectacular views of Romney Marsh. It also houses the largest breeding herd of Black Rhino outside Africa as well as Asian Elephants, Siberian and Indian Tigers, Small Cats, Monkeys, Malayan Tapirs, Barbary Lions and many more rare and endangered species. The Palace of the Apes is the worlds largest gorillarium and home to a complete family of Gorillas, fed at 12 noon and 3:00pm daily. Safari trailer rides are available throughout the day at a small additional cost. New for 2005: Guinea baboons, grey gentle lemurs, broad nosed gentle lemurs. The African Experience; Take your seat on a specially-commissioned, covered safari vehicle and head out into the wild, where animals such as Zebra, Wildebeest and Ostrich roam free as if they were on the plains of Africa. Opens Easter 2005. Twilight and dawn safaris will also be running from April to September. Ticket price will include a glass of champagne on arrival and safari ride into the wild of the African Experience followed by a barbeque meal.
