National Maritime Museum
Situated in Greenwich Park, the National Maritime Museum tells the story of Britain's relationship with the sea. Focusing on trade, exploration, and of course empire, the museum holds collections of ships (full size and model), navigational equipment, paintings and relics of sailors and explorers. Even the jacket that Admiral Nelson wore when he was shot in the left shoulder and fatally wounded at the Battle of Trafalgar in October 1805 is on display. On which the bullet hole and bloodstains can be clearly seen.
