As one of the world's oldest Zoos (Est. 1828), it is little wonder that the focus of London Zoo is now on conservation and preservation. By showing how important animals are in terms of biological diversity and inter-dependence London Zoo hopes to save many species that are fast disappearing around the globe. The Zoo holds many events and has a number of permanent exhibitions including the Web of Life, a unique exhibit that combines museum-style information with live animals.
