Le Pont de la Tour
The Butlers Wharf Building
36d Shad Thames
London
SE1 2YE
Le Pont de la Tour is situated at Butlers Wharf, ideal for gazing out onto the sparkling Thames. In fact, Tony and Cherie took Bill and Hilary there to do just that in 1997 and since then Le Pont de la Tour has lost none of it's je ne sais quoi. It has been described as 'glamourous without being pretentious', 'slick and extravagant without being imposing'. The decor is elegant and stylish having been inspired by the river and the Tower Bridge which it overlooks - oak chairs and cream linen make it relaxing and unassuming. The food is divine. As is custom with all Conran restaurants, only the best and freshest ingredients are used. The menu changes regularly, but expect something delicious like roast rabbit wrapped in herbs and pancetta with girolles and mustard vinaigrette...c'est magnifique!
