Keats House Museum
Opened to the public in 1925, this house was home to John Keats for a short time, but it is where he wrote some of his most important works. "Ode to a Nightingale" poem was written under a plum tree in the garden here. When the Brawne family moved in next door Keats became engaged to their daughter Fanny, however Keats died of consumption before they could exchange vows. Treasures on display include a love letter to Fanny, the engagement ring he offered her, and a lock of her hair.
