What a combination! With an amazing location overlooking Trafalgar Square, slick new decor, the talent in the kitchen of Anthony Morrison straight from Conran Restaurant. Katana @ The International is a can't-miss proposition. The feel is urban, sophisticated, relaxed and informal, with modern decor, complementary lighting, ambient music, the restaurant lives up nicely to its locale. The luxurious bar is a nice place to kick off with a cocktail from the huge list. Then it's on to the restaurant located on the first floor for a look at the refreshing Pan Asian & Oriental menu that carefully reflects the delicate styles and flavours of the Orient and we encourage all diners to share and experiment. Try a couple of smaller dishes for starters of crispy fried braised duck with watercress & black bean dressing with Vietnamese vegetable rice paper rolls and a main course of Steamed mussels with Thai green curry, coriander & chilli and finish with a grilled pineapple with lime sorbet & black pepper syrup. The wine list is extensive and well-priced. The young crowd stay and stay!
