Howletts Wild Animal Park Howletts Wild Animal Park, Nr Canterbury, is set in 90 acres of beautiful parkland and is home to the largest group of captive bred Western Lowland Gorillas in the world and the largest herd of African Elephants in the UK. Siberian and Indian Tigers, Clouded Leopards, monkeys, small cats, tapirs, bongo and Canadian Timber Wolves are among other species that can be seen. Coming soon in 2005: Mandrills and the opening of the new Black Rhino breeding Sanctuary. Open every day except Christmas day from 10:00am-dusk, last admission is 4:30pm (summer), 3:00pm (winter).
