Modern, bright, and enormous fun, Hellenic is a Greek corner restaurant run by the lovely George, and his family. Accompanying the blue and white décor, are 1950s black and white photos. Get a real taste for GeorgeÂ’s wifeÂ’s delicious homemade cooking, the speciality being Mezedes which, includes ten cold starters and ten hot main dishes - fantastic value at £14.50 per person. Naturally, a robust retsina or Ouzo are the recommended drinks or you can try specially selected wines from Greece. They will go down especially well on Friday and Saturday nights when a bouzouki, guitar and an accordion are played live, creating a wonderfully warm and buzzy atmosphere.
