A London Guide / London Shopping / London Deparment Stores / Hamleys

Hamleys

Hamleys was established in 1760, it is said to be the finest toyshop in the world and with over 40,000 toys and games over seven floors, it is not hard to see why. Despite its size, expect it to be packed, especially at Christmas when the queues are to the door. One of the special features that makes shopping at Hamleys fun is the staff who are located throughout the store demonstrating all the latest toys and crazes. The shop's window displays change regularly and are well worth the visit alone.
