Geffrye Museum
Situated in the area of Shoreditch that used to be the centre of London's furniture trade, this Museum houses a collection of detailed room interiors dating from 1600 to 1950. Each room contains splendid examples of the furniture of the period collected from all over Britain. The Museum is a fascinating insight into British craft and furniture making, and also provides an insight into the history of family life. There is also has a walled herb garden showing the historic use of herbs in medicine and cooking.
