This smart, light, bright, and definitely buzzing place is a magnet for local Wimbledonians who enjoy the drinks, music, and Italo-American menu. Footlights was refurbished in 2003 and is a younger, more light-hearted space than before. The huge windows let in bags of light at lunchtime and
into the evening. The staff are young. The djs let the music flow until late on Friday and Saturday evenings. There are terrific thin-crust pizzas, fajitas, and burgers, but some adore the Mediterranean king prawns. There are elevated bar areas and an outdoor area, too, for when you want to hear
the distant roar of the Wimbledon crowd.
