Florence Nightingale Museum
Florence Nightingale was a pioneer in health care and founded the first ever nursing school at St Thomas's in 1860, this Museum tells the story of her life. On display are personal mementos, clothing, letters, Crimean War relics, nursing material and of course the lamp that was so important in her work. The museum aims to be "the international centre for preserving Florence Nightingale's heritage and interpreting the relevance of her life and work for the benefit of the present and future generations.
