Corum
30-32 Queenstown Road
London
SW8 3RX
This part of town just gets better and better, and Corum is one of the reasons. The extremely chic, modern design of the place is sophisticated and welcoming, and sets the tone for a good evening out. The bar area gets very lively indeed, so don't skip it. Chef John Simeoni has completed tours of duty in some of our most celebrated restaurants, including the River Cafe and The Ivy, and brings his own delicate touch and blooming imagination to the modern European menu. Try starter of caramelised onion tartlet with smoked cheddar and marinated tomatoes, main course of fried calves' liver with bubble and squeak, and save room for pud of sticky toffee pudding. The wine list's a corker and the waitstaff have mastered the art of friendliness without intrusion.
