Carnaby's
19 - 21 Great Marlborough St
London
W1F 7HL
CarnabyÂs is one of three dining Âareas at the five star Courthouse Hotel Kempinski on Great Marlborough Street. Daring modern Medieval design draws inspiration from the buildingÂs previous incarnation as the countryÂs second largest magistrateÂs court and temporary abode to the likes of Napolean III, John Lennon and Sir Mick Jagger. Tall windows let in lots of light and allow clear views of colourful Carnaby Street. Not that itÂs drab inside, where the Mediterranean look of the bold marigold walls and burgundy seating is complemented by an European menu. Typically delicious dishes include roast chicken forestiere - a roast breast of Poulet Noir garnished with braised fondant potato flavoured with thyme, pickled baby onion, Lancaster back bacon and small button mushroom, and served with roasting juice.
