Burlington Arcade
An exclusive shopping Arcade with regency buildings Burlington Arcade was built in 1819 by Lord George Cavaendish. Shopping here has an air of a bygone age about it, the tone is very exclusive and the decorum is upheld by Burlington Berties. These are uniformed guards who ensure that people do not spoil the atmosphere by running, whistling, humming, singing, or even chewing gum. The Arcade is aimed at the wealthy both foreign and domestic, with some of London's most famous retailing names in residence.
