A London Guide / London Restaurants / French Restaurants / Brasserie La Trouvaille

Brasserie La Trouvaille

353 Upper Street

London
N1 0PD

The warm gallic welcome, the fab French bistro cooking, the authentic south-of-the-Channel ambience have arrived in Islington and the denizens of N1 have been skipping down the street with joy. The exterior's wooden frontage, huge glass windows, and half-curtains of French lace and are just perfect. Inside, the ambience and menu are just as true. Try starter of aubergine tart with honey and goat cheese, main course of duck confit with green pepper sauce and sauteed potatoes, and pud of real chocolate mousse. The wine list is patriotically French. The staff are friendly and, frankly, so are the prices. A great place.

Average Price: £25-£34

Cuisine: French

Underground: Angel
