Blenheim Palace In 1704 the 1st Duke of Marlborough defeated the French in the near by area and as a thank you Queen Ann built Blenheim Palace for him. The Palace is a Baroque masterpiece with a Great Hall, Library, State rooms and Clock Tower. All these rooms are open to the public and have magnificent painted ceilings. Blenheim Palace also has splendid gardens that have been matured over hundreds of years, as well as a Butterfly House, Herb and Lavender Garden and a Train that offer's free rides.
