Fantastically fun and buzzy high-quality North African restaurant / Bar with casbah-style decor and differently themed North African 'caves' downstairs. Tuesday night is a Bedouin night, Wednesday is a Ladies night, Friday and Saturday nights see belly dancers and DJ's, Sunday is a family day, or you could try a traditional hubble bubble pipe and a tasty mint tea, as the wine list is an absolute winner. Ayoush is the brainchild of Omar Elawadi, the first Egyptian catwalk model and one of the 80's beautiful people. It was at his house that Marvin Gaye wrote 'Sexual Healing' and a signed album cover is on display in reception. The food is French-African with the emphasis on North African and the odd Berber and Jewish Moroccan influence thrown in for good measure. Not somewhere to take Great Aunt Gertie - unless she's a real party animal, but a fab spot for a night out with your pals or a romantic dinner with your latest squeeze. What's cooking? Tabouleh,Falafel, Hummus, Sambousek, Merguez, Stuffed Calamari, Shawarma, Kebabs, Tagines, Couscous, Sea bass and Salmon.
Average Price: £20 - £29
