Shortlisted for the Evening Standard Bar of the Year 2004, ad lib is one wonderfully stylish place-to-be on Chelsea Beach (so-called because of the Mediterranean summer atmosphere, complete with flesh-bearing babes). Catering for lunch, you're offered a good value choice of sandwiches, platters, and salads next to a neat selection of British mains, including Ribeye steak with creamed mash and green beans, and a popular 6oz house burger and fries. An evening bar menu features mini sausages glazed with honey & mustard or prawns in a blanket with sweet chilli sauce and other such goodies, while platters are perfect for groups enjoying one of many cracking cocktails in the bar area. Listen out for live acts week nights, DJs on the weekend. Open Monday to Friday 12pm to 12am, Saturday and Sunday from 5pm 'til midnight.
